Willow Bark
Salix exugia
All willow species contain a chemical called salicin, which is most concentrated in the young bark. In the body, salicin is converted into salicylic acid, an anti-inflammatory beta-hydroxy acid. This ingredient is one of the best known treatments for acne, and is also gently exfoliating and brightening.

On the farm, we have several species of willow trees and shrubs. These provide important wetlands habitat for birds and small mammals, and we take pride in practicing sustainable cultivation of our native willow species.

100% of the Willow Bark in our products is grown on our farm.
