Illuminating Cleansing Powder
Get ready to re-think everything you think you know about cleansing your face. Traditional cleansers are made with harsh foaming surfactants or soaps that can strip the naturally protective skin barrier. On top of that, any cleanser that contains water has to have a preservative, which may disrupt our skin microbiome.
Our cleansing powders are radically different. Take a look at the ingredients - yep, they are all plants! No soaps, detergents, or surfactants - just raw leaves and flowers, harvested entirely from our farm. The cleansing power comes from a proprietary blend of plants that contain high levels of saponins - naturally-occuring compounds that have been used for centuries as super gentle cleansers that have been scientifically shown to not disrupt the skin's natural barrier.
The powder creates a gently exfoliating cream when mixed with water, to easily wash away excess oil and dirt. You add the water, so this cleanser is perservative-free, carry-on friendly, and super-duper-concentrated!
The Illuminating Cleansing Powder contains skin-brightening plants like Bearberry, Willow Bark, and Calendula. It is designed for normal to combination skin, but gentle enough for all skin types.
Put a pea sized amount of powder into the palm of one hand. A little goes a long way! Run warm water over the opposite hand and use your fingertips to drop a few drops of water onto the powder. The powder will create a soft cream that you can gently smooth over your face. Use warm water to remove the powder residue.
This product is preservative free, so be careful to avoid letting water enter the bottle, as this could cause the product to go bad. We recommend not keeping the bottle in the shower.
